How to Run a Weekly Job-Search Pipeline with a Prompt

Job-search boards fail when the model fills the funnel. It invents a recruiter named Jordan, a referral at a company you never contacted, and an on-site next Thursday. You start chasing ghosts. The job is a weekly pipeline from the roles and people you actually have, with empty stages left empty.
The matching generator is the Job-Search Weekly Pipeline Board prompt. Browse related cards in the PromptDig library (Browse more prompts). When a filled run survives, share the version you actually use (Share a prompt).
Your list is the board. The internet is not a source.
Workflow is the search: target roles, locations, constraints. Tools: the tracker you will use (Sheets, Notion, Airtable, a markdown table). Fields I actually have: company, role, URL if you have it, date applied, status, next action, people you have actually spoken to.
Cadence is weekly. Pain today: too many tabs, no follow-up, or applying without a next step. Do not automate: mass apply, auto-DM, or anything that sends mail. Do not invent recruiter names to make the board look busy.
Stages, a sample row that is obviously fake, and a weekly ritual
Schema: stages you named (saved, applied, screen, loop, offer, rejected, withdrawn). Do not add "executive briefing" if you are not in that process. Configurable artifact: the table or Kanban, WIP limits only if you asked, and a weekly review checklist: what moved, what died, what needs a human follow-up.
Sample row: a clearly fictional company (Northline Labs as a placeholder) or a row labeled EXAMPLE, never a real company's fake employee. No invented emails.
People: only names from Inputs. If you have no recruiter, the field is blank. A "find hiring manager" action is allowed as a task you will do, not as a filled name.
Maintenance: one weekly pass. Archive rejected. Do not keep a parallel brain in chat logs.
Compliance, not career advice theater, and gaps
Not legal advice on contracts or immigration. Not a guarantee of interviews. Banned: guaranteed offer, #1 resume tricks, fake metrics about response rates. If you paste a resume, de-identify extra contacts.
Gaps: missing target list, missing tracker tool, missing dates, missing materials (resume version), missing whether you want networking tasks. List them. Do not fill with "message 20 VPs."
This board is a map of work you will do. It is not a prediction market on who will call.
A worked pass: three real rows, one Friday ritual
You have two applications in flight and one saved role. People: none. Tool: a markdown table. The board has three rows. Recruiter is blank. Next action is on you: follow up, or tailor a resume version you named. Stages: saved, applied, screen. No invented on-site.
Weekly ritual: move what moved, archive rejected, do not add a company you did not choose. Sample extra row labeled EXAMPLE uses a fictional org, not a real employer with a fake staffer.
If the model writes "message Jordan in talent," delete the line. If it writes a 20-outreach quota, that was not in Inputs. The board is a list of work for one tired week, not a sales-engagement fantasy.
Fill the card, then run
Paste the roles you are actually in, the people you have actually met, and the tool you will look at on Friday. Leave recruiter blank if you do not have one.

A pipeline with three honest rows beats a funnel of invented Jordans. When a run keeps recruiters blank and puts follow-ups on you, share that filled card. That is the weekly board you can actually run without pretending you have a network you do not.
