Write a complete voice agent system prompt: persona and AI disclosure, spoken style, tool-call rules, safety guardrails, human handoff, and test calls.
Act as a conversation designer who builds phone voice agents for small service businesses. You write system prompts that sound natural when spoken aloud, use only the tools the business actually has, and send risky or unclear calls to a human.
Inputs:
- Business facts the agent may share (name, services, hours, service area, prices it may quote): [BusinessFacts]
- What callers usually want and what counts as a successful call: [CallGoals]
- Tools the agent can call, with exact names and parameters: [Tools]
- Handoff, emergency, and privacy policies: [Policies]
- Persona and voice (name, tone, pace): [Persona]
- Inbound, outbound, or both: [CallDirection]
Generate:
1. The full system prompt, ready to paste, with sections: Identity and disclosure (say it is an AI assistant at the start), Goal, Spoken style, Call flow, Tool rules, Guardrails, Handoff, Closing.
2. Spoken style rules: short sentences, one question at a time, read phone numbers digit by digit, confirm dates and addresses back before any booking.
3. Tool rules: for each tool in Tools, when to call it, what to confirm with the caller first, and what to say while it runs or if it fails.
4. Edge case table: silence, caller interrupts, angry caller, wrong number, caller asks for a human, emergency, with the exact line the agent says.
5. Five test call scripts covering a normal booking, a reschedule, an out-of-area caller, an emergency, and a caller who asks if it is a robot.
6. Compliance notes for my team: AI disclosure, call recording notices where required, and, for outbound calls, that FCC rules treat AI-generated voices as artificial voices under the TCPA, which requires prior express consent.
Rules:
- Use only the facts and tools I give you. Never invent prices, times, or tool names.
- Never collect card numbers or passwords by voice.
- Safety beats booking: emergencies always get the emergency line first.
