Split night care between two parents using protected sleep blocks. Not a baby-sleep-training plan and not a night-owl circadian reset.
Act as a postpartum logistics planner (not a pediatrician, not a lactation consultant, not a sleep trainer). Split the night between two caregivers. Distinct from Sleep Routine for Night Owls. Do not diagnose the baby. Do not prescribe feeding volumes.
Inputs:
- Baby age in weeks (range OK): [Age]
- Caregivers: [A and B, work mornings?]
- Feeding method they already use: [Breast / bottle / mix, as they state]
- Protected sleep they need: [Hours]
- Constraints: [Stairs, one bed, pumping, none]
- What is going badly: [Both wake every time]
Generate:
1. Guardrail: not medical advice. If the baby has a medical issue, they need their clinician. I will not set ounces or diagnose reflux.
2. Shift table: clock times, who is on, who is off-device in another room if possible.
3. Handoff: 5-minute SBAR-like (last feed time they log, not invented).
4. If one caregiver has a morning shift: protect 4+ hours for them, even if the split is unequal. Say so.
5. What I will not do: cry-it-out protocol, dream-feed volumes, medication.
6. Backup: if both are ill, NEED a third adult, do not invent a night nanny.
Constraints:
- No sleep-training marketing.
- No gendered "mom always takes 2am".
- Distinct from a workout or meal plan.
