How To Write A Kling Runway Product Loop Shot List

Product loops fail when the model writes a commercial. Extra bottles appear. A logo becomes readable nonsense. Hands that are not yours hold the hero. The last frame does not match the first, so the loop pops. The job is a shot list for one named tool version, showing only the product you have, with continuity that can actually close.
The matching generator is the Kling or Runway Product Loop Shot List prompt. Browse related cards in the PromptDig library (Browse more prompts). When a filled run survives, share the version you actually use (Share a prompt).
Name the tool, the SKU, and the loop job before any camera move
Write the project, the exact SKU, the surface, and whether this is a 5-second story loop, a 9:16 PDP loop, or a 1:1 pause. Tool and version are required: Kling 1.6 or Runway Gen-3, not "whichever is better." If you do not know the version, write unknown. Do not mix motion rules from both.
Must show: the product facts you can prove (color, material, count of units). Must not show: extra SKUs, readable labels the real pack does not have, competitors, faces you do not have a release for, fake awards.
Visual refs: lock lists and stills you actually own. Do not point at a competitor's ad and ask the model to "match the energy" if that means copying their set.
Spine, then shots that can return to frame one
Five beats is enough for a loop: establish, detail, function or pour, hero hold, return. If the product does not pour, do not write a pour. If you have no steam, do not invent kitchen fog.
Each shot gets: duration from Format, camera, product action, lighting, negative prompts, and the tool version on the line. Continuity notes: first and last frame match on angle, fill level, label rotation, and hand position. If there are no hands in Must, there are no hands in the list.
Negative prompts should be specific: extra bottles, melted logos, extra fingers, readable fake type, brand names not in Inputs, cinematic letterbox if Format is 1:1. Delivery specs: aspect, length, safe margins for UI chrome if this will sit under a shop overlay.
Do not invent a celebrity chef, a studio address, or a pack count you did not type.
Compliance on MustNot, then gaps instead of a prettier ad
The compliance pass quotes every MustNot and checks the shot list. If MustNot says no readable title, no shot may ask for embossed type on the pack unless the real pack has it. If Brand forbids a color, the lighting section cannot "warm it up" into that color.
Gaps: missing stills, missing version, missing pack rotation photos, missing background surface, missing duration. List them. A three-shot loop with honest gaps is better than an eight-shot storyboard that needs a set you will not build.
This is not a UGC testimonial card and not a packshot still lock list. It is motion. Keep the hero SKU in every frame unless you explicitly allowed a cutaway that still loops.
A worked pass: one bottle, both ends match
SKU: one matte bottle, pewter cap, blank label you will composite later. Tool: Kling 1.6. Format: 1:1, five seconds, seamless. Must not: extra bottles, readable type, hands, awards.
Beats: cap detail, slow orbit, liquid still (no pour if you did not ask), hero hold, reverse orbit to frame one. Continuity: fill line, label rotation, and light direction are copied into every shot line with the version. Negatives repeat: extra SKUs, melted logos, extra fingers, text.
If the first generated clip adds a second bottle, the card failed even if the motion is pretty. Rerun with a tighter Must. Do not "fix" the extra bottle in a second model unless you re-lock both ends. The loop is a still that moves, not a commercial that happens to repeat.
Fill the card, then run
Name Kling or Runway with a version, paste the SKU facts, and list what must never appear. Then run it and check that shot one and shot last can be the same frame.
Project and SKU: [Project]
Tool and version: [Tool]
Visual refs I own: [Refs]
Must show: [Must]
Must not show: [MustNot]
Aspect and length: [Format]
Brand limits: [Brand]
Loop type (seamless / cut / pause): [Loop]
A loop is a contract with the last frame. When a run refuses extra bottles and keeps the label unreadable, share that filled card. That is the shot list you can actually feed to Kling or Runway without a reshoot in post.
