ChatGPT Prompts for Vinted: 12 for Listings, Prices, Offers

ChatGPT prompts for Vinted turn the details you already know about an item into a clear title, an honest description, and a price plan you can stick to. Give the chatbot the exact label text, your measurements, every flaw, and the sold prices you found, and tell it never to invent a brand or condition detail. The 12 prompts below cover listings, photos, pricing, buyer messages, and packing.

A few platform facts worth knowing before you start: Vinted's condition choices are New, Like new, Very good, Good, and Satisfactory (plus Needs repair for electronics), and if you are unsure, Vinted says to pick the lower one; a listing can hold up to 20 photos, the description should not use unrelated brand names or link to other sites, and buyer offers can go up to 40% below your price. Private sellers do not pay a selling fee; the buyer pays the Vinted fee (formerly called the Buyer Protection fee) at checkout. Rules and fees vary by country and change, so check the app before you list. This page is not affiliated with or endorsed by Vinted.

Write the listing

1. Full listing writer

Write a Vinted listing from these facts only: item [type, color, style], labels [exact text], materials [care label], measurements [flat], flaws [list]. Give three titles, a scannable description, the honest condition choice, and form field values. Write NOT GIVEN for anything missing.

2. Title options

Give me five Vinted titles under 60 characters for [item], each with item type, color, a material or style word, and size. No other brand names.

3. Condition check

Here are the flaws on my [item]: [list]. Which Vinted condition fits best, New, Like new, Very good, Good, or Satisfactory? Give one line of reasoning and the sentence I should add to the description.

4. Measurement guide

Which measurements should I take for a [item type] so buyers can judge fit, and how do I measure each one laid flat? Give me a fill-in line for the description.

Photos and pricing

5. Photo shot list

Plan the photo order for my [item]: first photo showing the whole item, then details, labels, and each flaw from this list [flaws]. Suggest a plain background I have at home: [options].

6. Price plan from sold comps

Similar items sold for [prices and differences]. My lowest price is [floor] and I can wait [time]. Set a list price, an offer to accept straight away, a counteroffer, and dates to lower the price.

7. Bundle offer

I am listing these items: [list with prices]. Suggest a bundle discount and write a short message to a buyer who has liked three of them.

Buyer messages

8. Offer replies

Write friendly replies for my [item] listed at [price]: one to a lowball offer of [amount], one to a fair offer of [amount], and one to "Is this still available?". My floor is [floor].

9. Fit question answer

A buyer asks if my [item] will fit someone who is [their details]. Using only my measurements [list] and the size label [size], write an honest reply that does not promise a fit.

10. Delay or problem message

I need to tell a buyer that [problem, such as a late drop-off]. Write a short, polite message with the new plan and no excuses.

Ship and restock

11. Packing plan

How should I fold and pack a [item, material] so it arrives clean and uncreased? The parcel sizes shown to me are [options]. Tell me which to weigh it against.

12. Closet sort for selling

Here are 15 things from my wardrobe with brand label, condition, and last time worn: [list]. Sort them into list now, list next season, donate, and keep, with a one-line reason each.

Worked example

A UK seller had a camel single-breasted wool coat with notch lapels, three dark brown buttons and flap pockets, size label UK 12, no brand label (only a tailor's label reading "Made in Italy"), 80% wool and 20% polyamide with a viscose lining. Measured flat: pit to pit 54 cm, length 98 cm. Flaws: light underarm pilling and a 2 cm loose lining seam. They had found three similar unbranded coats that sold for £38, £45 and £52, and their floor was £36.

The flagship prompt wrote three titles such as "Camel wool coat, single breasted, UK 12", a description with every flaw spelled out, picked Very good as the condition, set the brand field to No brand, and listed nine photos starting with the whole coat on a hanger. The price plan listed at £45, the middle comp, because the £52 coat had no flaws, accepted offers from £40, and dropped to £42 after a week. It also wrote three offer replies and a packing note. Use the full Vinted listing prompt for title, description and price plan with your own item.

Variations

  • Kids' clothes: add age range and ask for a bundle listing for a size lot.
  • Shoes and bags: swap measurements for insole length or bag dimensions and strap drop.
  • Home items: ask for dimensions, weight, and a packing plan for fragile pieces.

Practical tips

  • Copy label text exactly. If there is no brand label, choose No brand rather than guessing.
  • Photograph every flaw you mention. Honest listings get fewer return requests.
  • Price from items that actually sold, not from asking prices.
  • Pack before you pick a parcel size, then weigh it.
