Nano Banana 2 Packshots Lock Lists

You can take a Flux packshot paragraph, paste it into Nano Banana 2, and get a prettier bottle that is also the wrong bottle: extra twins, a reprinted label, a Midjourney flag that does nothing, and a hex the model invented because you said "brand red."

Flux wants spatial sentences. Midjourney V7 wants a short scene plus flags. Those dialects are already a post. Nano Banana 2 (Gemini image) wants a lock list those two never asked you to write. Matching packshot (Nano Banana 2 Product Packshot Prompt) and keyframe prompts are in the PromptDig library (Browse more prompts). This is not a before-and-after room edit, not a headshot, and not an amateur-phone-to-hero catalog pass. Those exist. This is one hero still, version-locked.

Version lock before adjectives

Say "Nano Banana 2" in the prompt. Do not append --v 7 or --ar 1:1. Aspect is a phrase ("square 1:1 catalog tile") or a UI setting. Flags from another house will be treated as weird nouns or ignored.

Then write locks in this order. Models follow the last exciting adjective if you are not explicit.

Sacred (do not change):

  • Product silhouette, lid, material
  • Brand colors as hex if you have hex; otherwise name the color and forbid a Pantone guess
  • Label: "do not reprint, do not invent nutrition, do not add awards"
  • Count: one bottle, five fingers if a hand is allowed, zero extra SKUs
  • Camera height and angle

Job (change only this):

  • Surface (seamless white vs butcher-block)
  • Crop (1:1 Shop tile vs 4:5 PDP)
  • Lighting direction if lighting is the job

A skeleton for the packshot:

Nano Banana 2 product packshot, not Midjourney, not Flux flags.
One hero still. Aspect: [1:1 / 4:5] in words.
Product: [object, lid, material, wordmark yes/no].
Color lock: [hex or "stainless and black, do not invent a Pantone"].
Camera: [3/4, chest height / overhead].
Surface: [seamless / table]. Light: [window left / even studio].
Keep: exact silhouette, one product, readable label only if I supplied the words.
Must not: extra bottles, extra fingers, fake awards, barcodes, airborne ice,
title text, other brands.
Crop: lid fully inside, base not clipped.
If a hex is missing, omit a swatch. Do not guess.

If you need a lifestyle set, that is a second prompt, not more adjectives on the packshot.

What Flux did not make you say

Flux is literal about left and right. That still helps here. The extras Nano Banana 2 will invent unless you lock them:

  • Twin products. Video and still models both spawn a second bottle. Say "single object, no reflection-as-second-product."
  • Cleaner type. If the label is legal, treat it as sacred. Composite type in a layout tool when the SKU changes. "Do not reprint the label" is not optional flavor.
  • Nutrition tables and award seals. You did not ask. It will add them because packshots in the training data have them.
  • Hands with six fingers, or celebrity-looking hands. If you do not need a hand, say none. If you do, say five fingers, no jewelry unless it is in the brief.
  • Color drift. "Our red" is not a lock. Hex is a lock. No hex means you describe the material (brushed stainless, matte black lid) and you refuse a Pantone.

The amateur product photo to catalog hero prompt is a different job: it starts from a phone photo. A Nano Banana 2 packshot often starts from words, or from a clean reference. Do not mash the two.

Packshot is one frame. Keyframes are a sequence.

A six-frame "bottle into cup holder" brief is not a packshot with more sentences. It is a continuity bible plus per-frame deltas. Use the keyframe prompt when you need poses. Repeat the locks on every frame: same window left, same scratch on the table, same lid.

Do not mix this with a Sora or Veo shot list. Those want motion and duration. Nano Banana 2 stills can hand off to video later. They are still stills.

Nano Banana 2 keyframe brief, not a packshot, not a Sora script.
Continuity: [light, surface, product hex, camera height, aspect].
Frames: [4-8]. For each: what changed, what must stay identical.
Negatives: extra bottles, extra fingers, fake labels, airborne ice, subtitles.
Handoff note: which frames could go to video later. Do not write the video prompt here.

Review as a diff, not as a pretty picture

Zoom on the lid, the label, the count of objects, and the crop. If two things changed, you asked for two jobs. Run it again with a tighter lock list.

Keep packshot and keyframe files next to each other by SKU. When a lock list actually holds the silhouette, share that version (Share a prompt). The after adjectives are cheap. The version lock, the hex, and "do not reprint the label" are the asset.

Browse the library on PromptDig (Browse more prompts) rather than converting a Midjourney flag soup and hoping Gemini will honor --no.

You do not need a new aesthetic for Nano Banana 2. You need the lock list Flux never required you to write.
