How to Write TikTok Shop LIVE Talking Points

LIVE talking points fail when they copy the listing and then invent a sales counter. The model writes "3,000 sold tonight," a celebrity guest, and a claim the PDP does not make. You go live. A viewer asks for the 3,000. The number was theater. The job is talking points and pin comments from the product facts you have, distinct from listing copy, with no invented sales counts.
The matching generator is the TikTok Shop LIVE Talking Points and Pin Comments prompt. Browse related cards in the PromptDig library (Browse more prompts). When a filled rundown survives a PDP check, share the version you actually use (Share a prompt).
LIVE is a rundown, not a rewritten PDP
Channel is TikTok Shop LIVE. Goal is a run of show: hook, demo beats, objection handles, pin comments, and a close, using only Facts. Facts: SKU name, price as listed, variants you actually have, demo steps you can do on camera, policies you may state (shipping window only if it is in Facts). CTA is the Shop action you named: tap the product, bundle as listed, or a code that exists. Voice is the host's real voice. Banned claims: sold out theater if not true, #1, guaranteed, invented sold counts. Assets: PDP text, demo props, pin-comment drafts you already use.
Talking points should be sayable in LIVE, not a paste of bullets. "Here's the zipper" is a talking point. A 40-word SEO paragraph is listing copy. Keep them distinct. If you need listing copy, that is a different card.
Price: only the price on the Shop listing in Facts. Do not flash a fake compare-at. Do not invent a LIVE-only discount unless the code and amount are in Facts. If budget for a code is not approved, say so in gaps, not on camera.
No invented sold counts, stock, or guests
Sold counts, viewer counts, and "last 20" scarcity may appear only if they are true in Facts at show time. They almost never should be pre-written as numbers. Write a placeholder like [stock from dashboard] if you must, and mark it as a field to fill from the live dashboard, not a number to invent now.
Guests and collabs: only people in Facts. Do not add a creator name. Do not add a brand founder appearance.
Claims: only PDP-approved claims. Do not add medical, dermatological, or earnings claims. If the product is ingestible, cosmetic, or financial, add not-advice. De-identify any customer names from screenshots you pasted. Do not read a fake review.
Pin comments: short, one claim each, from Facts. Examples: variant reminder, shipping line if in Facts, how to tap the product. Not "3,000 sold." Not a pile of hashtags.
Run of show, objections, and a close that exists
Hook: 10-15 seconds from Facts, no fake urgency. Demo beats: the steps you can do. Objection handles: only objections you listed, answered from Facts. If you did not list objections, the generator may list common question types as questions to answer from the PDP, not as answered with invented specs.
Close: the CTA you gave, repeated without a new discount. If the CTA is tap the product, do not add DM me for a code.
Gaps: missing demo props, missing variant list, missing shipping policy, missing return window, missing whether you may say a wait time. Print those. Do not fill a return window with 30 days because that is common.
Banned words: best, guaranteed, #1, invented percents. "This sold out in minutes last time" needs a last-time fact. If it is not in Facts, cut it.
A worked pass: one SKU, Friday LIVE, no quotes
Say Facts has one SKU, a Friday LIVE slot, budget not approved for a discount code, and no customer quotes. Talking points can demo the SKU and repeat the listed price. Pin comments can point to variants in Facts. They cannot invent a code or a sold count. They cannot add a second SKU.
If a later show has a real code, paste the code and the window, then rerun. Do not keep last week's invented scarcity.
Watch platform labels. If you did not name a TikTok Shop feature (bundles, LIVE coupons, creator marketplace), do not require it. Write unknown. Do not invent a badge.
Secondary assets: two pin comments and a host cheat-sheet of banned phrases. The cheat-sheet should quote leaks from a bad draft and replace them with Facts-only lines.
Fill the card, then run
Paste the PDP facts, the demo you can actually do, and the CTA. Leave sold counts blank.

LIVE is a timed demo, not a listing with a countdown. When a run keeps sold counts off the pin because Facts had none, share that filled card.
